Motocamp Japan — Help

Short answers to the things that actually go wrong. If none of this fixes it, email a human at the bottom of the page.

The app has vanished from my phone or tablet

Nothing is lost. Motocamp installs as a shortcut on your home screen. Deleting that icon does not touch your account, your subscription, your saved routes or your favourites. They are on our servers and come straight back when you sign in. You only need to put the shortcut back.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Safari. This does not work in Chrome on an iPhone or iPad.
  2. Go to motocampjapan.com.
  3. Sign in with the same email or username you used before.
  4. Tap the Share button. It is the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and at the top on an iPad.
  5. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to motocampjapan.com.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Tap the three dots at the top right.
  4. Tap Install app, or Add to Home screen if you do not see Install.

Laptop or desktop

Bookmark motocampjapan.com. In Chrome or Edge you can also click the small install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar to get it as its own window.

One thing does not come back: downloaded offline maps are stored on the device itself, so a reinstall starts that part from scratch. Open the Offline tab and download the areas you need again. Everything else restores by itself.

Billing, trials and cancelling

Open the app and go to Account → Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's own billing page, where you can change your card, download receipts and invoices, or cancel. Your exact renewal date and amount are shown there and in the app, which is why they are not repeated here: the page you are billed from is always right.

Email support

Tell us the email address or username you signed up with and what you were doing when it went wrong. That is usually enough to find your account and fix it without a back-and-forth.
